Did You Know…? Humans’ hands are unique, not for our opposable thumbs, but for our ability to twist our little and ring fingers in to meet our thumbs.
Good evening,
Sorry for being absent the last two nights. Hopefully I’ll get everyone caught up tonight!
Here are some things we missed on Monday:
- Kahoot – We reviewed our French animals using a game called Kahoot! It was a lot of fun using the IPads to play this online quiz game so we decided to play it on Thursday as well. Tomorrow we are playing Perimeter and Area Kahoot! Students are allowed to bring a device to play on, and we will also have school devices available to use. Want to make your own Kahoot! You need to register at https://getkahoot.com/. Explore the public Kahoot! games or make your own – just remember that you need your parent’s permission before creating online accounts!
Tuesday:
- Math5Live – We reviewed volume with a Math5Live video (http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/me5l/html/math5.html?goLesson=14). Remember, you can use these videos at home to help you to review. You can also find extra worksheets through this resource as well!
- Social Studies – Students shared their Social Regions PBL projects. They turned out wonderfully! Check out students slideshows by clicking on the links: Arctic Region Canadian Shield Cordillera Region Great Lakes Region Interior Plains
Today:
- Cubic Metre – we estimated the volume of our classroom today at 198 m³! How? We built some cubic metre cubes to help us! Check out the pictures below…

Ms. B when is the next time for kahoot it after Thursday because I won’t have time to play
I don’t know when the next time we’ll play as a class will be, but I will post the links to tomorrow’s Kahoot! on the blog so students can practice at home. We’ll also make sure we schedule another Kahoot! day when you come back. Maybe some more French review?
Thank you Ms. B maybe this Friday because I just came back.
